Clearly Conan's darkest moment following his first failed effort to kill Thulsa Doom.
Tied and Nailed to the Tree of Woe as per Thulsa's Instruction to have him Crucified following all his acts against him.
The forceful entry into his House (the Tower of the Serpent); the theft of his property (the Eye of the Serpent); the murder of his servants; And his pets (the giant snake).
He really made clear what he valued when stating what grieved him the most. And how little value he placed on his followers with his commanding of one to leap to her death simply to prove his own Power, while taking it very personally should his pets be harmed, or his property stolen.
For this pic, it's clear to me that Conan is near the End of his limits by this point, the burning Sun beating down on him, his weight bearing down on where he/'s been nailed to the Tree, able to do nothing until he's found by Subotai.
